Migrations · Box

Switch from Box to InfiOrbit

Keep enterprise content management discipline, gain AI-native search and a lower-friction developer story.

Why switch

Move beyond Box without losing context

Preserve the structures users rely on while adding visible security state, stronger governance, and content intelligence.

Governance without modules

Retention, legal hold, classification labels and watermarking are part of the product, not priced add-on suites.

Design-first API

One OpenAPI contract, generated typed SDKs and scoped tokens make integrations a day's work, not a quarter's.

Grounded answers

How the migration runs

Connect, preview, import — with a mandatory dry run

The Migration Center reads your Box content directly. Nothing is written until you approve the dry-run manifest, and every imported file passes the malware quarantine gate before it is downloadable.

1. Connect the source

Add the source from the Migration Center with a scoped credential. Credentials are envelope-encrypted at rest and never shown again.

2. Review the dry-run manifest

A mandatory dry run lists everything in scope — folders, items and total bytes — before a single byte is written, so there are no surprises.

3. Run the gated import

The run recreates your folder structure and routes every file through the same malware quarantine gate as a first-party upload. Per-item errors are reported without aborting the migration.

Scope the work

Estimate the transfer window before discovery

Model the raw network window and the operational workstreams that should be represented in your migration plan.

Scope the source, map your target workspace, validate the dry run, and schedule cutover with clear acceptance criteria.
